Székelyudvarhely [2]

Steeple, Székelyudvarhely

The steeple in Székelyudvarhely, designed by Zsolt Várday is a composition of two sculptural monoliths forming the gate towards the sacred ground of the churchyard. It follows the local building traditions: placed on top of the hill and raised upon the minimum standards.

Contemporary villa on a slope

István Benedek, István Pásztor [blipsz!] and Arnold Macalik designed a living space around the South-West facing terrace up the slope; the terrace is partially shaded from East and West and its position is vaguely reminiscent of the traditional household, organized around the yard.
