Corvin Promenade – one of the best projects of European city redevelopment

The Corvin Promenade is one of the biggest city revitalisation projects in Central Europe and the biggest property development in the Hungarian capital. Rehabilitation was started in 2004 and includes an area of approximately 220 000 square metres in Józsefváros, the 8th district of Budapest. 46 valuable buildings will be preserved and fully reconstructed. Most of the program was realized by the end of 2010, and already contains 850 new flats, an office area of 43 000 square metres, more than 100 shops in the Corvin Shopping Centre and the biggest downtown sports centre, Life1 Wellness. The next phase which will build 260 new flats will start soon.
